Who Loves Ya Baby?

Telly AwardTonight when I picked up the mail, I saw a letter from the Telly Awards (no, not as in ‘Savalas’). The Telly Awards “honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.” They get over 13,000 entries yearly from filmmakers and agencies all over the country.

I’d never entered anything before, but this year, I decided to give it a shot. Today’s letter confirmed I’d won a Bronze Telly for the documentary I did for the Colony Theatre! You actually have to order your statues, but they’re made by the same company that makes the Oscars. Very cool.

Kinda makes me want to go make something else :)

Well, we know your talented! Now everyone else does. All those nights spent editing were for something after all. Put this on a resume and go get a director job! PS- remember don’t forget the little people when your in LA.

I have never been more proud of you Andy. I always knew you would go far in life. I’m glad that taking the steps to move to Atlanta is paying off you you and Brenda. You are a special person inside and out and people will eventually recognize you for that in many ways. Congrats to you and future congrats to you for the many awards and prizes you will receive. I agree with Kelly, don’t forget the little people. ESPECIALLY YOUR ONE AND ONLY SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew, I thought that you did a great job on that documentary. It was alot of work and probably seemed that you didn’t get as much recognition as you deserved but, now you are starting to get some dividends. It is merely a starting point for you. It’s nice to have a piece of work to show-case. I can’t wait to finish my own documentary. I am leaving for Europe in two weeks to work on my own documentary (in progress now for 3 years). Can’t wait to have something finished to call my very own “piece of work”. That is something that no one can take away from you. You should feel very proud of yourself. Good luck with everything. Also, how are things going for you in Atlanta? Keep in touch, mic

Nice job Andrew. Now we will be able to promote the film by saying, “Colony Theatre documentary produced by award winning filmmaker, Andrew Jones”. If you turn the Telly award sideways so you don’t see the wing, people could even mistake it for an Oscar. We will definitely post something on the site about the award.

    ANDREW,
WAY TO GO SON. I KNEW I RAISED A WINNER IN YOU. (EXCEPT I DON’T KNOW WHERE THE TALENT CAME FROM.) I’M SO VERY PROUD OF YOU. PARKE SAYS NOT TO PUT THE AWARD TOO CLOSE TO SALEM, SHE IS AFTER ALL WAITING FOR HER REVENGE.
